City played a pre-season friendly against Wimbledon in the summer of 1996 as part of the deal that took Steve Talboys to Selhurst Park more than four years earlier. Better late than never eh!
The 1-1 draw isn't as great as it might look on paper because not only did the then Premiership side make us wait so long for the game they also sent their reserve team, still "they'll give you a good game" said a lowly representative from the Dons.
