Welsh defender returning to the club for his third spell at Meadow Park ahead of the 2025/26 season under new manager Daf Williams.
Ben has had two full seasons with the club prior to this and both times he was a major part of a successful team; his first was the curtailed 2020/21 campaign that saw City proudly atop the National League North and then the 2022/23 campaign which ended in the playoffs.
He has played as the left side of a back three and as a traditional center-half. He scored just the one goal in his sixty-four previous appearances, a tidy free kick in the 3-0 away win at Scarborough in March 2023.
His other clubs have been Weymouth in the National League whose season continued after ours was voided and then Bath City when he joined the exodus after the club went part time. At Bath he seemed to be made scapegoat for the 3-6 defeat to Weston-super-Mare early in the season and barely played again.
He moved to Havant & Waterlooville on loan under former boss Steve King but was unable to prevent them getting relegated. More recently Ben has been playing his football closer to home for Penybont.
