Innsworth based Harris had been at the helm at Premier Division rivals Merthyr Tydfil since the start of the 2005/06 season but the temptation to take over at Meadow Park was too much for the former City keeper and he shocked many with his appointment. Tim had held a managerial post with the Tigers before as in 1997 he'd been assistant to Leroy Rosenior. He'd built on his experience of management with Stroud FC and Cinderford Town previous to his spell when City were more successful. After his time at his home town club he had four good years in Wales as boss of Newport County before another spell at the Lawn with Forest Green Rovers which was forgettable to say the least.
