Darren has been a familiar name to City fans for the best part of a decade now as he has faced the club on a regular basis for previous clubs Mangotsfield United and Yate. He'd been prolific at Cossham Street before suffering a serious knee injury but after recovering he found the net again on a regular basis, including a goal against City in August 2003 as the Mango's won 2-3. He had a short and unhappy spell with Tiverton Town returning to Mangotsfield and then onto Yate where he again found form. And again scored against City!
